Dr. Riyadh Alshamsan BSc DIC MSc PhD

Dr. Riyadh received his PhD in Public Health from the School of Public Health at Imperial College London in 2012. He also holds a diploma and masters of sciences in International Health Management from Imperial College Business School which was funded by the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship.  During his doctoral studies he contributed to work on developing financial incentives in a local Primary Care Trust in the United Kingdom in 2008 which ran for five years with annual cost of £2.2 million.
Prior to continuing his postgraduate education he worked for six years in King Faisal Hospital, a specialist care hospital in Saudi Arabia and led teams in the reengineering of many hospital processes to improve the quality of care.
His main interest is on health systems research particularly on health policy evaluation and on health inequities.
