Dr. Omar B. Da’ar

Dr. Omar B. Da’ar, is an Assistant Professor of Health Economics & Financing at the Department of Health Systems & Quality Management, College of Public Health & Health Informatics, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is also An Adjunct Professor since 2011 at the Graduate School of Professional Studies, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota where he taught doctoral and master’s courses in quantitative research design and methods. Dr. Da’ar earned his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where he held teaching and research positions from 2006 to 2010. Dr. Da’ar has research interests in health value measurements; healthcare access, utilization & healthcare-seeking behavior; production/supply of health services; role of the public sector in health; economic burden of diseases; economic evaluation of public health and medical intervention programs – return on investment, cost feasibility, cost effectiveness and cost utility analysis; international trade in health services; global health & food systems and their interplay with intellectual property rights; health services policy and management; healthcare financing; and healthcare national accounts.
